Something else to blame About Adam for. God I love that movie so much I want to ravage it, haha.

I have a weakness for the poem Goblin Market and this little passage is why:

She cried "Laura," up the garden,
Did you miss me ?
Come and kiss me.
Never mind my bruises,
Hug me, kiss me, suck my juices

The way Stuart/Adam says it makes me think of such naughty things *g*

I've been putting off reading "Dracula" since I got it, fear of getting it dirty or smudged I guess it's such a delightful cover and the pages are so clean, I'm afraid of getting them dirty or bent like almost all my other books.

Erm...anyway back to the subject at hand. Dracula... Laura goes with her friend to a viewing of a play, Dracula. I think I think the story of Dracula differently now than I did Pre-AA. To me, watching Bram Stoker's Dracula was a bit different than seeing it for the first time. I'd not seen this version in years prior to this last week. (sadly this is no Special Edition of the movie on DVD, and when there will be one it will only be available on Blu-Ray)

I keep getting side-tracked here don't I? ;p

Laura and her friend ,while in line for the show, talk about how they believe (forgive me if I'm a bit off I haven't seen AA in a while) about Dracula (without even mentioning it but you know what it is by the playbills), how they believe its all about repressed Victorian sexuality in women. Yes Laura is the sexually-repressed woman in AA (at least until she meets Adam that is) looking for one truly "great passion". All I could think of while I was reading the forward of this particular version

I haven't yet begun to read it yet for the above reason, that and combined with the fact that I almost always read when I eat, so it would've have twice th chance of getting tainted. Hah I care more about a book getting dirty when my room is a constant mess *snickers*

You don't realize how long it's taken me to type all this out, as I've been distracted by one thing or another it's taken quite a while lol.

Something random:

I chickened out of buying the "Brokeback Mountain" soundtrack, thinking it may be too *country* sounding for my tastes. But I went to the official movie site where it played snippets from the soundtrack...I will have to buy that soon damnit! I"d write a whole bit about the Dracula/AA parallel but I'm not good at essays, I excel in babble though....see?
